Whether you travel by car, by train or by boat or plane, getting to Cold Spring is easy and there's lots of beautiful scenery on the way.



by Train
From New York City:

Take the Hudson Line from Grand Central Terminal. Most trains are direct service but some do require a change of trains in Croton. Bring a camera, you'll want photos of this spectacular ride north along the Hudson, whether Summer, Spring, Winter or Fall.
 
From Upstate NY:

Take Amtrak service south to Poughkeepsie, then take Metro North for the short trip to Cold Spring. Get a window seat on the right hand side as there's lots to see as you ride along the bank of the Hudson.
 
From South and West:

Take Amtrak, New Jersey Transit or the Subway to Manhattan. From Grand Central Terminal on the East Side 42nd St take the Hudson Line north to Cold Spring.
 
by Boat Directions By Boat:  
The Cold Spring Boat Club is located at Longitude 41 24' 54"N Latitude73 57' 40"W, on the east bank of the Hudson River just north of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and immediately south of the Cold Spring town dock. Boats 30 ft and under are welcome to dock on the outside of the Cold Spring Boat Club docks on a first come, first served basis. There are no facilities. WARNING: Several hundred feet S/SW of the Cold Spring Boat Club is the remanants of a sunken island and dock. Use extreme care when approaching from this direction.
